The Surf
Welcome to Timmy’s Tubular Experience at Playa Colorados, the best beach break in Nicaragua. The volcano which formed Lake Nicaragua creates a very unique phenomena making Playa Colorado one of the only beaches in Nicaragua that is offshore everyday. Offshores all day equates to more chances to surf and more chances to get in the tube. You have the ability to practice your surfing and tube riding throughout the day making Timmy’s Tubular Experience a premier surf camp. In addition, we have access to multiple waves including point breaks, reefs, and wedges. If isn't working out front, we will still be be scoring waves everyday. The option is always there to add on a boat trip to surf other waves, explore, or go on a fishing trip.
Our goal is to help you become a better surfer, get tubed, have fun, and send you home with your footage and new surf knowledge. Getting to surf with Timmy, one the best tube riders in the world, will help you focus on your surfing and learn new things. We have fun going over our footage and helping you work on your personalized surfing goals.

We know surfing is one of the most rewarding sports in the world, but hanging out on the beaches of Nicaragua is also an awesome experience. One of my favorite leisures while in Nicaragua is waking up early with a cup of coffee, watching the sunrise over the beautiful mountains and jungle canopy, listening to the howler monkeys and seeing the light hit the early waves of the Pacific.
During the mid day you can witness beautiful birds flying around while hanging in the shade. There is a very charming 9 hole golf course just a 5 minute walk away and a chipping green close to the beach. So feel free to bring a wedge and a couple bucks for a little mid day or afternoon laugh. Also there is a chance to hop on a boat to catch fish and surf other waves.
The sunsets never disappoint, one of the most spectacular ways to end the day is at the pool bar and restaurant or simply just collecting shells on the beach with a happy hour drink *unless the waves are firing* To end the day with a beautifully tasting Nicaraguan cuisine is an absolute joy to say the least.

Book Flights
Avianca has multiple flights to the Managua, Nicaragua (MGA) Airport. To take advantage of the airport transportation included in the package, fly into Managua International Airport (MGA) ideally arriving in the afternoon on the date your retreat starts and flying out before noon on the date your retreat ends. We understand if you cannot find a good schedule or favorable flight from your city arriving or departing within those windows. We can also book a private taxi for whenever you arrive and depart if your flights do not fall within our time windows. We understand the need to be flexible when traveling and are happy to work with our guests to always include airport transfers.
