We know that being part of a Surf Mission is an experience that will change your life and want to make sure you have all the information you need. Below are some of our frequently asked questions and comprehensive answers to get you started.
ARE THERE ALTERNATIVE DATES?
Maybe. We know that being flexible is one of the most important parts of a Surf Mission, and we try our best to accommodate all schedules. If we have the availability then yes, we can work something out to make your stay possible at an additional cost. Please contact us by filling out the form on the contact page or email us directly at info@surfmissions.com to reserve your dates.
HOW DO I GO ON A SURF MISSION?
Start at the book now section of our website and let us know what trip and what dates you are interested in. Flights, transportation, COVID requirements, and special concerns are dependent on the location, so we will be sending you a pre-departure information packet once you reserve your spot on a Surf Mission. Do not hesitate to ask any questions by filling out our contact form or emailing us directly at info@surfmissions.com.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
If we have availability then yes! For most of our Surf Missions + Retreats (excluding Strike Missions) you are welcome to bring a guest for an additional price (significant other, children, etc). Our Surf Missions are family friendly with very nice accommodations, plus there are always other activities for non-surfers to enjoy. Please enquire about guests in our book now form or contact us at info@surfmissions.com.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO JOIN?
Our Surf Missions accommodate all levels of surfing - from novice and intermediate, to advanced and professional. Our mission is to help you with your personal surfing goals. With that said, we expect you to have basic ocean knowledge, have your own equipment, and be a proficient swimmer. Coaching is individualized and Timmy is there to help you with your personal/specific surfing goals.
WHAT BOARDS SHOULD I BRING?
That will depend on the location, your surfing, and personal preference. Luckily Timmy has immense surfboard knowledge and can help you answer those questions. Please inquire about board selection when you fill out our book now form, or email Timmy directly at info@surfmissions.com.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
You are responsible for flights, but we do our best to help you find the best flights for your Surf Mission. We offer two-way transportation to and from the airport and we understand that finding flights within reasonable time frames can be difficult. If you need help finding flights or have questions about timing, please contact us using the our contact form or email us directly at info@surfmissions.com. We can connect directly to a travel agent.
